Read something a little while ago, can’t remember where, that said the first thing of something you do will be bad. So, get over it. Since this is my first blog, expect it to be bad. Sorry.
Anyway, let’s get on with this. What to talk about here? First of all, things I’m making or want to make. Do need an incentive to get this stuff done. Nobody else is going to create this stuff, so guess I have to.
I need to bring out my gothy inner chid. Did I think of that on my own or read it somewhere? Damned if I know.
What else to talk about? Other stuff that pops into my stupid little brain, I guess.
Don’t know whether people will be interested in what I’m doing here, but let’s give it a try anyways. What’s the worst that could happen?
There is just so many things I want to make and I need some incentive to get off my bum and work on them. I have a purse idea that includes LED lights. I have an idea for a skull on the sleeve of a jacket. Not sure if the skull will be embroidered or stencilled. I want to make a linen shirt with lots of absolutely scrumptious lace on it, but I can’t decide whether to buy lace or crochet it. I do love crocheting. Sewing, not so much, but I like what I get from it.
There’s so much stuff to get done and it doesn’t help that I may have Attention, oh look at the birdie, Deficit Disorder. Love that saying. Have no idea where it came from. I haven’t been diagnosed, but I can drink lots of caffeine then take a five-hour nap.
Have some black velvet to make a long jacket. Want to hang up some sari fabric on my walls. That should actually be quite easy. Have the stuff already to do that. For the velvet coat, need to decide on the embroidery I want.
And, reading. I have lots of books to read. Haven’t read much in the last two years, really, and I I’m finally getting back into it.
Now, amazingly enough, did actually finish something recently. A little crocheted rug for beside my bed. I’d like to include a picture here just as soon as I figure out my camera. Should I include instructions here? Kind of hoping people don’t want to copy me, just get new ideas from my ideas. Also, I am crocheting a welcome mat that is actually coming along.
